Audiovox's affordable D1730 features a broad, seven-inch widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) LCD, and compatibility with DVD-Video, VCD/SVCD, audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3-encoded discs. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's coaxial digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. Composite-video and stereo analog-audio inputs and outputs let you hook up additional AV gear for viewing through the D1730. All audio and video inputs and outputs are of the minijack .125-inch size, so compatible adapter cables are required (one stereo analog audio and one composite-video cable are supplied) S-video and composite-video outputs simplify hookup with a home TV. If you don't have a surround receiver or six-channel speaker setup, you can still make every movie night the ultimate experience: Q-Surround Sound simulates surround sound through two speakers or headphones. Playback options include frame-by -frame slow motion, zoom (image magnification and reduction), multiple angle viewing (with applicable discs), and 20-track programmable sequencing. The D1730 comes with an AC adapter and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to three hours of playback (power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc).
